Lindsay Lohan Threatens to Sue GTA 5
Oh Lindsay, please don’t flatter yourself…
Lindsay Lohan is threatening to sue the makers of GTA 5, Rockstar Games, for ‘serious money’ due to alleged unauthorized use over her image.
We wonder if ‘serious money’ is more or less than ‘a super lot of money’?
Lohan is alleging that one of the characters in the game, a starlet who resembles Lohan, is part of a mission where the player takes on the paparazzi. No official lawsuit has been filed at this point, and Lohan’s lawyers are said to be drafting the initial paperwork.
We’re not really sure what the problem is. If that character really is Lohan, this will be the first time in years that she’s on the screen playing a part that viewers actually enjoy!
This isn’t the first time Rockstar Games has dealt with unauthorized use legal troubles. In October, Daz Dillinger accused Rockstar Games of using two of his tracks without paying for them. Daz reports that Rockstar games offered him $4,271 to use the songs. When he turned them down, they went ahead and used them anyway.
Rockstar has not offered an official statement on either potential suit. The best we can guess is that they are too busy counting their money. GTA 5 took in $1 billion in revenue in less than 3 days following the release.
