Lamar Odom Closes DUI Case, Gets 3 Years Probation

Lamar Odom’s DUI case finally closed Monday morning and hopefully put an end to a horrible chapter in his life. The 34-year-old NBA star has made a lot of mistakes in his life (marrying a Kardashian) but entering a no contest plea deal in his DUI case was one of his best decisions.

Originally, Odom pleaded not guilty in the case, but obviously he had a change of heart. The smart move has landed him with 3 years probation and almost $2,000 in fines. Of course, all of this leads back to his arrest in August when Odom was pulled over and refused to take the breathalyzer test.

He ended up spending the night in jail and he had his license suspended. His license is still suspended, Odom will have to attend a separate hearing to find out when he might be able to drive again.

So, that’s the new good news involving Lamar. How about the bad news? There has to be some bad news, right? Well, there is some bad news. Thankfully, none of this news involves crack, so at least we’re starting to make some progress.

Most of the bad news comes from his failing marriage with Khloe Kardashian. It seems like a divorce is inevitable at this point, it just seems to be a matter of time. A recent report claims that Khloe wants to divorce Lamar sometime before her sister’s wedding. A source claims there is “no way” Khloe shows up to the wedding with Lamar.

But it’s not all bad, Lamar was reportedly invited to spend Thanksgiving with the Kardashian family. He ended up spending time with his father instead but at least he was invited, right? That has to count for something.
