Justin Bieber Was Reportedly Extorted For $1 Million Over Racist Video
The guy who had his hands on the video showing 15-year-old Bieber saying the N-word believed he was about to become a millionaire. TMZ reports that the man’s lawyer approached Bieber’s team two months ago.
Justin Bieber’s reps were told by the lawyer that his client worked on one of the superstar’s video projects. During that time, he was in the possession of Bieber’s hard drive, and that’s when he saw the video and swiped it.
The lawyer told Bieber’s team that the guy was willing to sell them the video for one million dollars. If they didn’t accept his offer, he would take the controversial tape to the media. Sources say Bieber’s reps laughed at the request, and the lawyer dropped the asking price down to $800k, but that still wasn’t low enough for Bieber.

And you all know the rest of the story. The video was released to the media, and the world had yet another reason to hate Justin Freakin’ Bieber. Apparently, Bieber’s team didn’t feel like the video was worth $1 million, mainly because their client was just 15-years-old when he said the racist joke.
I wonder if they are rethinking their decision now? It’s not like he couldn’t afford to pay the man $500k. It would have saved him a lot of trouble.
