Christina Aguilera Welcomes Baby Girl, Reveals Baby’s Name On Twitter!

Congratulations to Christina Aguilera and her fiance Matthew Rutler. The adorable couple welcomed their first child together on Saturday, August 16. Like we previously mentioned, it’s the couple’s first child together; however, Christina Aguilera does have a six-year-old son with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman.

A source told E! News that the pop-star and her fiance are “thrilled and excited” to welcome their new baby girl. The delivery couldn’t have come at a better time. The couple just celebrated a co-ed baby shower at the home of Christina’s stylist. There were around 50 friends and family members in attendance.

It’s being reported that the delivery took place at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. There are no details about the birth, but Christina did surprise her fans on Twitter Sunday by revealing the name of her new baby girl…

Summer Rain, huh? Interesting choice. It’s not as bad as naming your child Apple, but that’s not really saying much. I’m not sure how I feel about this trend of making the first and middle name connect in some way.

Anyway, the singer will be taking time off from The Voice to take care of her baby, and make sure little Summer Rain doesn’t cause a flood on the kitchen floor. She is planning to return to the singing competition for its 8th season.
