5 Seconds of Summer Just KILLED IT During Performance Of ‘Jet Black Heart’ On The Late Late Show (VIDEO!)
Two amazing things happened last night during The Late Late Show with James Corden. The first amazing thing is that 5 Seconds of Summer guitarist/singer Michael Clifford didn’t injure himself while performing. That’s practically a miracle.
The second amazing thing? They convinced me to join their hype train. I am officially a fan of the group, which is a little shocking considering I’m not a 16-year-old girl. But if you actually listen to their second studio album (Sounds Good Feels Good) you’ll hear how they have matured. She’s Kinda Hot, the first single from the album, might have sounded a little young, but you have to admit it was pretty damn catchy.
But the band’s latest single, Jet Black Heart, might be one of their best songs from the album. They performed the song last night on The Late Late Show and absolutely rocked the house. It was nice seeing Clifford take the lead, I was surprised by how great his voice sounded.
I’m also a fan of how they express their emotions on stage. Most “teen bands” don’t worry about connecting with the lyrics, but this song seems to truly mean something to Clifford. Looking at the details from the album, it looks like Clifford was one of the main writers of this song, so I guess that explains the passion.
Anyway, check out the performance below. You guys have a new fan.
