Woman Breaks Into Robert De Niro’s Home And Tries To Steal Christmas Presents From Under The Tree!
In less than a week, Santa will be slipping inside millions of homes to leave Christmas presents under the tree.
But before Santa, you have The Grinch. Don’t believe in The Grinch? Pfft. You should! A real-life Grinch nearly ruined Christmas at Robert De Niro’s home in New York City.
According to police, a female burglar named Shanice Aviles, was caught going through De Niro’s upper east side townhouse early Monday morning. She was grabbing Christmas presents from under the tree and playing with the actor’s iPad.
Officers with the NYPD’s 19th Precinct public safety team had spotted Aviles trying to open doors to commercial buildings before she made her way inside De Niro’s home.
According to the report, the 79-year-old actor and his daughter were upstairs at the time and did not know what was going on beneath them until Aviles made some sort of noise that woke them up. That’s when Robert saw the woman downstairs and called police.
NYPD says this Aviles character is a professional burglar. She has a total of 26 arrests, most of them starting during the pandemic in 2020. She has picked up a total of seven burglaries between Nov. 25 and Dec. 8.
Practice makes perfect, right? If she keeps at it, perhaps she’ll reach a point where they’re no longer able to catch her in the act.
Keep at it, Aviles! WE BELIEVE IN YOU!
