Report Shows Stephen “tWitch” Boss Died Without Will, Wife Files For Control Of Estate
As you all know, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss died by suicide at the young age of 40 back in December of 2022. It was shocking news to everyone, including his wife Allison Holker, who called the police to search for him after he had been missing for less than 24 hours.
According to new court documents, the ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ alum died without a will, which means Holker is having to go through the legal system to gain control of their property following his death.
Holker, 35, filed a California Spousal Property Petition on Wednesday, February 8, according to paperwork obtained by Us Weekly. The law in California states that a surviving spouse is entitled to their deceased spouse’s half of their joint estate. In order to get access to the estate, the living spouse has to file a petition to prove their connection to the deceased.
We can only imagine how much of a head/heartache this is for Holker. We hope she has someone doing all this legal stuff for her because we know it must bring up painful memories for her.
She addressed her husband’s death in an emotional statement just days after his body was found inside a hotel room less than one mile from his home.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt.
Holker met Stephen while working on season 7 of So You Think You Can Dance in 2010. They dated for three years and then got married in 2013. They shared two kids together.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to them.
