Selena Gomez Is Stepping Away From Social Media After Petty Drama With Kylie Jenner And Hailey Bieber
Selena Gomez has already disappeared once from social media a few years back, and now it’s looking like she might disappear once again.
The 30-year-old actress/singer went on TikTok live Thursday afternoon to tell her fans that she would be taking a break from social media because she doesn’t need the added drama in her life.
I’m very happy, I’m so blessed. I have the best friends and the best fans in the whole world and I just couldn’t be happier. I’m good, I love the way I am, I don’t care. And yeah, I’m gonna be taking a second from social media ’cause this is a little silly and I’m 30. I’m too old for this.
That’s good she realizes this. I find myself scratching my head whenever I see some celebrity over the age of 30 in some online beef. We all know once you hit 30, all major beefs are with neighbors who park in front of your driveway and let their dog poop in your yard.
But what is this drama she’s talking about? Well, the drama started after Selena posted a video saying she accidentally laminated her eyebrows too much. Then, a couple hours later, Kylie Jenner posted a FaceTime screenshot of Hailey Bieber and herself, focusing in on their eyebrows, adding the text, “this was an accident????” over her eyebrows.
Kylie and Hailey claim the post was not related to Selena’s video at all, but obviously fans of Selena didn’t believe it. So then the respective fanbases started beefin’ with each other.
And because of this, a clip resurfaced on TikTok appearing to show Hailey throwing shade at Selena’s BFF, Taylor Swift. Gomez commented on the clip, writing, “So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game.”
