Tiffany Haddish Claims She’d Crash Weddings For Free Food Back When She Was Homeless

We’ve all heard of the hit comedy film Wedding Crashers, where Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson crash weddings to sleep with all the emotional women.

43-year-old actress/comedian Tiffany Haddish also knows a thing or two about crashing weddings, but for a completely different purpose.

During an interview with People, Haddish revealed she would crash weddings when she was younger because she was hungry and had no money for food.

I’ve crashed weddings before, given a speech and didn’t know anybody there. That’s when I was homeless and hungry. I would have two or three drinks and then I would grab the microphone and be like, ‘I just want to say that you are the most beautiful couple,’ Everybody would be looking at me like, ‘Who is this black girl at our wedding?’

She even had a favorite wedding spot in Los Angeles. A hotel in the Westchester neighborhood, which seemed to host a wedding every weekend.

These days, Haddish has a net worth of $6 million, so she can afford her own food. But just because she’s a millionaire, don’t mean she’s out here spending money left and right. She keeps herself grounded.

I try my best not to hold onto too many emotions because I feel like when you hold onto all those emotions, they make you crazy and then you get delusional.

For those who don’t know, Haddish was in foster care throughout her teen years and lived out of her car for years while trying to make the whole comedian thing work in Hollywood.

All the hard work, sleepless nights and crashed weddings were worth it.
