Jay Baruchel Admits He And Jonah Hill Actually Hated Each Other While Filming ‘This Is The End’

It looks like “Sh*t On Jonah Hill” month is in full bloom. We already told you that Hill’s ex-girlfriend, Sarah Brady, has been releasing old texts from him, which point to him being a bit controlling and super insecure. We also told you that a former Nickelodeon star accused him of forcibly kissing her when she was 16 and he was 24.

Then there was a radio host who remembered a time where Jonah was mean to her after she brought up a personal question. Basically, just a lot of people have been calling him a d**k lately.

And apparently Hill’s ‘This Is The End‘ co-star, Jay Baruchel, agrees with them all. In the 2013 comedy film, Jay and Jonah’s characters didn’t really get along. Eventually, Jonah’s character throws a knife into Jay’s leg and pushes him into a sinkhole.

During an interview back in May on ‘The Last Laugh’ podcast, Jay admitted that he and Jonah did not get along.

Jonah and I don’t get along super well, or at least didn’t back then. And also, it was this weird thing of mining personal s–t,. But not for catharsis…mining it just for comedy. So mining it in the most monetized, capitalist way of, ‘we’re going to dig up real personal s–t,’ but nobody’s going to go home feeling better about it. We’re just going to turn it into a f–king product.

When the podcast host noted that their hatred for each other really comes through on screen, Jay replied, “Yeah, no f–king s–t, it does!”

He said they never did talk about any of their real issues with each other, so there was never any conclusion to the madness.

This isn’t the first time Jay has opened up about not liking Jonah. In a 2017 interview with Larry King, Jay said this about Jonah…

I know the man. I wouldn’t say that [I don’t like him] … It was contentious once upon a time, but I think now we’re sort of each the devil the other one knows.

Damn. Sounds like Jonah is a hard dude to get along with.
