Miranda Lambert Stops Concert To Call Out Fans Who Were Taking Selfies During Song
Country music superstar Miranda Lambert is currently in the middle of her Las Vegas residency, and during a recent show this past weekend, Lambert stopped the music to call out some fans in the front row.
She was about to sing one of her more emotional songs, Tin Man, when she noticed a group of girls taking selfies in the front row as she started singing.
Lambert made it one or two lines into the song before she told the band to stop.
I’m gonna stop right here for a second, I’m sorry. These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song. It’s pissing me off a little bit. Sorry, I don’t like it. At all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I’m singing some country damn music.
The whole crowd cheered for her, but you know damn well 75% of them were taking selfies at various points throughout the night as well.
It’s truly an odd request to me. You can’t control what people do at the concert. There were thousands of people there listening to her sing, and she chose to focus on the three people who weren’t paying attention? Seems a little selfish to me.
Plus, a lot of fans take selfies or videos during a concert to remember the moment. And let’s not forget, they paid to be there, and unless they signed a “no selfie” contract during their ticket purchase, Lambert has no room to police the matter.
What do you think? Was Miranda in the right here?
