Ariana Grande Dating New Man While Her Estranged Husband Dalton Gomez Is “Devastated” After Split
As we told you earlier this week, Ariana Grande and her estranged husband Dalton Gomez are throwing in the towel on their two-year marriage.
They reportedly separated in January and just recently decided to make it official by filing for divorce. An insider told PageSix, “They came to the decision together. They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends.”
But “best friends” might be a difficult title to earn because Gomez is reportedly “devastated” over the divorce. A source told Us Weekly…
Dalton has been devastated by it. A separation is not what he wanted. He wanted the fairy tale, happy ending, and it’s not looking that way. Despite the rocky patches they’ve been through, he isn’t ready to give up on their marriage. He saw himself spending the rest of his life with Ariana and will do anything to get past this.
Sadly for Dalton, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.
Why? Because Grande has already moved on. Multiple sources claim the 30-year-old singer/actress is dating her ‘Wicked‘ co-star, Ethan Slater. They reportedly started dating several months ago, which means they likely hooked up just a month or two after Grande and Gomez split.
A photo from March showed the cast of ‘Wicked’ celebrating Michelle Yeoh’s Oscar win in London, and in it Grande, 30, is sitting close to Slater — who is also reportedly separated from his wife, singer Lilly Jay — with his arm wrapped around her.
It’s honestly the classic Hollywood story. Two stars both having problems in their marriage meet on set, fall for each other, and then decide to end their marriage to be with each other.
It happens all the time. Most likely because they’re spending so much time together on set.
This Slater dude has a baby with his ex, but insiders claim he did not start dating Grande until he broke things off with his baby mama.
Slater — who plays Boq in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical — rose to fame starring in ‘SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical.’ The 31-year-old actor was nominated for a Tony Award for his role as the titular anthropomorphic sponge.
We’ll see how long he and Grande last.
