Ne-Yo’s Ex Monyetta Shaw-Carter Says They Broke Up Because He Became Addicted To Threesomes

Ne-Yo is so sick of love songs, and his ex-fiancee, Monyetta Shaw-Carter, is so sick of threesomes. During a recent interview on ‘Haus of Aaron‘ the 43-year-old ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ star explained she broke up with Ne-Yo years ago because he wanted too many threesomes.

She revealed that at first, the threesomes were going well because they were limited to two or three a year, but then Ne-Yo started wanting them more and more.

We did things together. It’s not cheating if you’re involved with it … and then it just wasn’t enough [for him]. I was like, ‘Well, no, I didn’t sign up to do this every day.’ It became a problem when he wanted that a lot. I was like, ‘If you want that, then you don’t want me.’ I tried to keep it cute and spicy, but it wasn’t enough. But it is what it is.

For those who don’t remember, the former couple were engaged from 2010 to 2013 before ending things just two months before their planned wedding.

They have two kids together, 12-year-old Madilyn and 11-year-old Mason. These days, Monyetta is married to businessman Heath Carter, and she claims he wants nothing to do with threesomes. “He sees me, and it feels amazing,” she noted.

Meanwhile, Ne-Yo went on to marry Crystal Renay in 2016. They were together for a little over six years before divorcing in early 2023.

He and the model, 36, share son Shaffer, 7, son Roman, 5, and daughter Isabella, 2. While they were married, the songwriter also welcomed Braiden and Brixton with Sadé Jenea.

What did we learn from all this? The monogamous life is not something Ne-Yo can subscribe to. Hopefully he accepts that and doesn’t try to get married again.
