Jennifer Aniston And Courteney Cox Write Beautiful Tributes To The Late Matthew Perry
Yesterday, we shared Matt LeBlanc’s tribute to his ‘Friends‘ co-star, Matthew Perry, and now today both Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox have penned their own tributes.
We’ll start with Jennifer Aniston.
She went on her Instagram account early Wednesday morning to pay her respects to the late actor, who died two weeks ago inside his home in Los Angeles.
“Oh boy this one has cut deep… Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before,” she wrote in the caption of her post.
She shared a photo of Perry making her laugh during one of the early table reads, and then shared a text message he randomly sent her one day of that same photo. He told her that making her laugh always made his day. You can scroll to the second photo to see the cute exchange between them.

She talked about how much Perry loved making people laugh. It’s what kept him going in life.
As he said himself, if he didn’t hear the ‘laugh’ he thought he was going to die. His life literally depended on it. And boy did he succeed in doing just that. He made all of us laugh. And laugh hard.
Cox, who played Monica on the show (Chandler’s wife, spoiler!) also jumped on her Instagram to post a tribute to her beloved co-star. She shared a behind-the-scenes clip from the show.
When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here’s one of my favorites. To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience’s reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind.
