Insane Video Shows Man Film The Seconds After A Shark Chewed Off His Leg
It’s not often you see someone film the seconds after they were bitten by a shark, but an Italian man named Matteo Mariotti managed to somehow capture the frightening incident.
The 20-year-old student, who was snorkeling off the coast of Australia, came face-to-face with a shark. The shark took a bite out of Matteo’s leg, but somehow, he was able to escape before any more damage was done.
And as he was desperately trying to return to shore, he pulled out his selfie stick and filmed himself. It’s pretty crazy. You can see the blood pooling around him at one point as his friend does his best to help him.
He was transferred to a local hospital soon after, but unfortunately doctors were not able to save his leg. It was reportedly amputated from the knee down.
Matteo shared the video to his followers and wrote,
I played this video a few moments after the last bite, I wanted to say goodbye, I never thought I’d survive that monster. Lost so much blood and my leg, I don’t know if they’re going to cut it all off or if it’s going to be left in half but it doesn’t matter now. You are my heroes, you give me strength to carry on with your texts and calls, my only dream is to see you again.
Apparently, this is the second shark attack in the last week. A woman in Mexico died after she saved her daughter from being attacked.
