Cameron Diaz Says Married Couples Should Sleep In Separate Bedrooms And Even Have Separate Homes

51-year-old actress Cameron Diaz was on the ‘Lipstick on the Rim‘ podcast this week, and she made headlines for her unique thoughts on marriage.

She explained how ideally, spouses would have separate bedrooms and even separate homes.

To me, I would literally, I have my house, you have yours. We have the family house in the middle. I will go and sleep in my room. You go sleep in your room. I’m fine. And we have the bedroom in the middle that we can convene in for our relations.

You can tell Diaz has had a blessed life just by this quote. I mean, what average American couple can afford to have two homes? Heck, even two bedrooms is hard to come by these days, especially if you have a family.

Basically what’s she saying is more couples would be happier if they had more money and freedom, and we certainly can’t argue with that.

For those who don’t know, Diaz has been married to ‘Good Charlotte‘ guitarist/singer Benji Madden since 2015. And according to Diaz, Benji is so great that she doesn’t need a separate bedroom.

By the way, I don’t feel that way now because my husband is so wonderful. I said that before I got married. No one compares to him.

Well, now we’re even more confused. Is she saying you should only have separate bedrooms if you hate your spouse? If so, maybe it’s not an extra bedroom you need, maybe it’s a divorce.
