Rachel McAdams Explains Why She Didn’t Join ‘Mean Girls’ Cast For Walmart Reunion Commercial
Did you catch the huge ‘Mean Girls‘ reunion commercial for Walmart’s Black Friday event? It was pretty neat, actually. Sure, it was just one product placement after the other, but seeing the original cast back together was cool.
Sadly, one major cast member was MIA.
Rachel McAdams, who played Regina George in the original film, decided not to participate in the commercial. Fans were left wondering if she had some sort of beef with the other cast members, but during a new interview with Variety, she claims she didn’t even know the other cast members had agreed to do it when she turned it down.
I would, of course, always love to be part of a ‘Mean Girls’ reunion and hang with my plastics, but yeah, I found that out later.
But why did she turn the idea down in the first place? Well, she’s never done commercials, and she didn’t really feel like starting now.
I don’t know; I guess I wasn’t that excited about doing a commercial if I’m being totally honest. I’ve never done commercials, and it just didn’t feel like my bag.
That makes total sense to us. She’s a movie star after all. It’s not like she needs extra money from starring in some commercial, promoting products she doesn’t even use or endorse. I kinda respect her more for turning it down honestly.
