Wild Video Shows Judge In Las Vegas Being Attacked By Felon Inside The Courtroom
This video is truly insane. On Wednesday, Jan 3, Las Vegas judge Mary Kay Holthus was having a fairly average day at work. She was doing a pretty standard sentencing hearing for a 30-year-old man named Deobra Redden.
Redden’s attorney was asking Holthus to give his client probation, but Holthus felt like probation wouldn’t do him any good, considering she already had to issue a bench warrant for his arrest last month because he missed a court appearance.
She told him that he “needed a taste of something else,” alluding to prison time, and that’s when Redden lost his mind. He ran toward her and leaped over the bench as if he was in a WWE match.
Multiple people, including the bailiff, quickly stepped in to subdue Redden as screaming and fighting continued — some even landed punches on Redden before the madness came to an end.
When he landed on the judge, she fell back in her chair and hit her head pretty hard, but according to the reports, she did not suffer any major injuries. Just some bumps, bruises… and probably some PTSD.
This isn’t the first time Redden has been in trouble with the law. He previously served a year in prison for domestic battery and had a separate charge for destruction of property. Most recently, he was arrested for threatening to “bust a man’s kneecaps.”
Safe to say, I think the judge made the right decision here. This dude is looking for trouble.
