Kate Middleton Will Be Inside Hospital For Next Two Weeks After Having Abdominal Surgery
Kate Middleton is pressing the “pause” button on her royal duties until after Easter. The 42-year-old Princess of Wales just had a “planned abdominal surgery” on Tuesday (Jan 16) in London.
And apparently this surgery was a little complicated because she plans to remain inside the hospital for 10-14 days. The family released a statement on the surgery, but did not say what it was. All they said was that it wasn’t cancer related.
The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter. The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.
Good luck with that. The British tabloids are worse than here in the states, so you can bet they will be digging to find out what the surgery was. They’ll probably be trying to pose as nurses and sh*t to gain access to the hospital.
According to the reports, her husband Prince William, will also be cutting back on his public outings during this time, to help take care of the children.
He will be balancing being with his kids with taking care of his wife, and in doing so will postpone a number of his own engagements while Middleton remains in the hospital and for the immediate period following her discharge.
Here’s to a speedy recovery!
