Killer Mike Talks About Wild Night At Grammys That Ended With Him Being Arrested

As most of you know, the 2024 Grammys were full of ups and downs for Killer Mike. He won a total of three awards, including Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album.

But just moments after accepting his awards, he was placed in handcuffs for allegedly assaulting a security guard before the show. He apparently pushed and shoved a guard while trying to get inside the building. And the guard’s feelings must have been pretty hurt because he pressed charges.

Mike was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge, but according to him and his team, this is all being overblown.

As you can imagine, there was a lot going and there was some confusion around which door my team and I should enter. We experienced an over-zealous security guard but my team and I have the utmost confidence that I will ultimately be cleared of all wrongdoing. We can’t imagine Mike is too worried about the charge. Not only does he have three Grammys to celebrate, he and his family are also celebrating a successful kidney transplant for his 21-year-old son, Mikael “Pony Boy” Render.

He had been waiting three years for a matching organ and finally found one this year. According to Mike, his son is recovering and doing well. Best of all, the kidney is already working!
