Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson Are Reportedly Engaged, And Have Been For A Minute!

Surprise, surprise… ‘Coldplay‘ lead singer Chris Martin and ‘Madame Web‘ actress Dakota Johnson are engaged to be married.

A source who talked to the Mirror claims Martin asked Johnson to marry him “a while ago” and they managed to keep it a secret for many months.

They have been besotted with each other from day one so taking this next step was inevitable. They are in no rush to plan the wedding but are just enjoying making their commitment official.

And get this, insiders also claim Martin asked his ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, for her blessing, which is a weird thing to do, but also kinda sweet? I mean, they do share two children together, so perhaps he just wanted to make sure Paltrow approved of Johnson becoming an official stepmom.

Johnson and Martin have been dating for several years. They did have one rough patch where they briefly split a few years back, but it’s been smooth and easy ever since.

Just this week, Johnson told Bustle that she loves being a stepmom to Martin’s kids, “I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart.”

She also talked about wanting to have her own children with Martin…
