‘Euphoria’ Actress Says She Hasn’t Paid Rent In Months Because Production On Show Is Delayed Due To Zendaya
Starring on a hit show like ‘Euphoria‘ sounds like a dream, but for Nika King, it’s turning into a nightmare. The 44-year-old actress, who plays Zendaya’s mother on the show, shared a clip on her Instagram this week from a recent stand-up gig.
She talked about season three of Euphoria, and admitted she had no idea when it’s going to come out…
Season 3 is coming out … I don’t f–king know. Don’t ask me. I don’t know. It’s one of those things. People are like, ‘We need Season 3.’ I’m like, ‘Bitch, I need Season 3, too!’ I haven’t paid my rent in six months, and Zendaya’s over in Paris at Fashion Week. I’m like, ‘Bitch, come home! I need you. Mama need you.’
The audience laughed, but she made it clear that she was serious. She hasn’t been able to pay her rent in months. She also says she hasn’t booked anything since starring on the show.
I haven’t booked nothing since ‘Euphoria.’ This is some bulls–t. I thought my career was on the rise after ‘Euphoria.’ I thought I was good. It don’t work that way.
Season two of the show aired back in January/February of 2022, so it’s been two years since the last episode aired. Production has been delayed several times due to the strikes last year, as well as the death of Angus Cloud, who played the lovable drug dealer Fezco on the show.
And then you have to remember that Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney have been busy filming a bunch of other sh*t, so we’re sure everyone’s schedules just ain’t lining up.
Sucks for King!
