Courtney Love Tries To Remain Relevant By Slamming Taylor Swift, Beyonce And Lana Del Rey
When you can’t reach the top yourself, you have to turn to hating on people who are at the top. Courtney Love, best known for being a complete mess, talked to The Standard recently to promote her upcoming series, Courtney Love’s Women.
During the interview, the 59-year-old singer/songwriter hated on Taylor Swift. She said she “positively hates the idea” of Swift and labeled her as “not important.”
She might be a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist.
She also talked about Beyonce, saying she likes the idea of her country album, but did not actually like the album. “As a concept, I love it. I just don’t like Beyonce’s music.”
Damn. Shots fired!
Love wasn’t finished. She went on to call out Lana Del Rey, who she once was a fan of.
I haven’t liked Lana since she covered a John Denver song. Up until ‘Take Me Home Country Roads’ I thought she was great. She should take seven years off now.
She ended her hater session by saying she’s happy there are so many successful female entertainers today, but ultimately she believes the majority of them are becoming cliches and clones of one another.
Something tells us Beyonce, Swift and Del Rey remain unbothered.
