Taylor Swift Drops New Album, And In One Song, She Says Her Mom Wishes Kim Kardashian Was Dead
Today is basically a holiday/day of worship for millions of Swifties around the world. The 34-year-old singer dropped her new album, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.
Fans have been pouring over the songs and lyrics since midnight, and they were able to figure out that in one song, Swift slams Kim Kardashian.
In the song, “thanK you aIMee,” Swift sings about a “bronze, spray tanned” bully her mom “wishes were dead.” And if you notice, the capitalization in the title spells out Kim, so you know, she’s being pretty obvious with it.
More lyrics include, “All that time you were throwin’ punches, I was buildin’ somethin’, And I can’t forgive the way you made me feel.”
She obviously can’t forget it because the feud started way back in 2016 when Kanye called Swift a bitch in one of his songs.
When the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer took issue with the lyrics, Kardashian released a phone call of Swift allegedly giving approval — which Swift later claimed was illegally recorded.
The incident really had a major impact on Swift. She claimed in a recent interview that she had to move to another country after the debacle. “I didn’t leave a rental house for a year,” she revealed.
I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.
Elsewhere in this new album, Swift slams her exes Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy, while praising her current boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Of course, Kelce shouldn’t get too comfortable. He will likely be an ex by the time the next album is released.
