Amy Winehouse’s Ex-husband In a Coma From a Suspected Overdose…
As many could have predicted, Amy Winehouse’s, train wreck of an ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil has overdosed.
The 30 year old is still alive, but barely. He had to be placed in a medically induced coma after too many of his vital organs began to fail.
Last Friday, Sarah Aspin who is the mother of his 15 month old son found him in bed choking.
Blake had been out the night before with a friend drinking and came home staggering. Aspin suspected more than just alcohol use because his speech was slurring more than usual. The next morning she was woken by the sounds of Blake struggling to breath and called 911. What she described must have been horrifying to witness she said,
“His eyes were rolled back and his mouth was locked together,”
When the paramedics arrived Blake was in bad shape. Like….really bad shape. He swallowed his tongue, one of his lungs was completely disabled and he was choking on his own vomit.
As can be imagined, Aspin is shook up, she’s preparing herself for the worse,
“The doctors say they don’t know the prognosis. They said they put him in a coma to help him and due to infection,” Aspin told the paper. “I’m praying he’ll survive, but I’m having to prepare myself that he may never wake up.”
It has only been a little over a year since Amy Winehouse’s death. Her father, Mitch Winehouse, who was not a huge fan of Fielder-Civil took to Twitter and expressed his concerns, tweeting,
“Terrible news about Blake this morning, Remember Amy loved him. Let’s pray for his recovery.”
It was concluded that Amy died of alcohol poisoning, this overdose of Blake’s is suspected to be heroin. An addiction he has battle in the past. Let’s hope he can recover if not just so his 15 month old son has a father.
