Soul Singer Sharon Jones Reveals Shocking News

Sharon Jones is a woman full of soul. The 57-year-old performs with the funk group known as the Dap Kings. The group was scheduled to perform at several different venues and even release an album in August, but they are having to put their plans on hold. Sadly, Sharon Jones has announced that she has been diagnosed with stage-one cancer.  She has a stage-one tumor on her bile duct, the news was first announced on the group’s website.

Luckily, doctors found the cancer relatively early and she is expected to make a full recovery. You can read part of the announcement down below…

“Over the last few weeks I haven’t felt good and I didn’t know what was going on. We sadly had to cancel shows while I went through a series of tests and short hospital stays. We just found out that I have a stage-one tumor on my bile duct. Luckily we caught it really early and fast and the doctors say it’s operable and curable! I will be having surgery very soon and will have to rest and recover. I’ll be staying in touch and keeping my fans and friends updated on my progress. I’m looking forward to getting back on the road to give the people what they want!”

Well, we certainly wish her a speedy recovery. At least, she didn’t get it from oral sex! You always have to look on the bright side of things.
