Masterchef Star Josh Marks Commits Suicide, Schizophrenia To Blame?

Awhile back we reported that very strange story to you about Masterchef finalist, Josh Marks. You may remember that he went crazy on some cops back in late July.

The 7-foot-2 beast of a man attacked some cops who were trying to help him, it took several cops to finally bring him down. During questioning, Marks told the police officers that he was possessed by Gordon Ramsey who turned him into God.

Fast forward to last week when Josh Marks was officially diagnosed with schizophrenia. He had already been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and was still struggling with that diagnosis. His mother claims that the diagnosis of schizophrenia was just too much for her son to handle.

His mom told the Chicago Tribune that her son “couldn’t bear the thought of another diagnosis.” She says that her son was very upset with what the doctor had to say, so she spent the night with him.

She eventually had to leave the next day to pick up her daughter from school, and just a few hours later she received a very terrifying phone call. A family member called her to tell her that Marks was walking down an alley, holding a gun in his hand.

Sadly, it was too late by the time she made it to the alley. She found her son dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The family is planning on starting a foundation for Marks to raises awareness for mental illness.
