T-Pain Slams Homophobia In Hip-Hop In New Interview With Vlad TV: Full Video Inside!
Rapper T-Pain sat down for an interview with Vlad TV and talked about homophobia in hip-hop for six straight minutes. In the six minute rant, T-Pain calls homophobia “weird” and “terrible”. He also claims to know several hip-hop artists who won’t work with Frank Ocean now because of his infamous Tumblr post.
He also talks about how his gay assistant is treated by the hip-hop community,
“People don’t f–k with me because he’s around me. People feel like, ‘Oh sh-t, I wanna go say something to Pain but that gay dude is right there,’ and it’s like, he ain’t lookin’ for you, ni–a! Ni–a, if he was looking for you…let me tell you about these gay ni–as, boy. These gay ni–as will get on you. These gay ni–as bold. If they want you, they gonna tell you before you even know they in there. They gon’ get you for real.”
As you can probably tell just by reading the quote, T-Pain was extremely animated in this interview. We’re not sure if he was a little tipsy or if he’s just a naturally funny dude. Whatever the case, we were strangely entertained while watching the six minute video.

[more…]You hear that? Gay people love that Nutella sh-t! And not just because it has the word “nut” in it.
But let’s get serious for a moment. T-Pain made some great points in the interview, and I think this interview might actually help some young people in hip-hop change how they treat gay people. Whether you agree or disagree with their lifestyle is irrelevant.
No one is asking you to get down on your knees and shove a salami down your throat. They’re just asking to be treated with the same respect as everybody else. They’re asking for people to recognize their talent before dismissing them just because they are attracted to people of the same sex.
It’s that simple.
