Cissy Houston Clears Up The Reports, Bobbi Kristina Has “Irreversible Brain Damage”

Yesterday, we showed you the shocking Bobby Brown video. In the video, the father of Bobbi Kristina told a crowd in Texas that his daughter was awake. He also said, “she’s watching me,” which confused just about everyone, including his own family.

And after 24 hours of, “WHAT THE F–K IS EVERYONE TALKING ABOUT? IS SHE AWAKE?” Grandmother Cissy Houston decided to clear everything up. On Monday night, she revealed that the 22-year-old is still in an unresponsive state.

She did confirm that Bobbi Kristina is no longer in a medically induced coma, but sadly, that’s where the “good news” ends. Check out her full statement below…

I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive. Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me.

Honestly, this report makes more sense. We would all like to hope for some miracle, but it doesn’t sound good. You don’t just suddenly wake up one day with a “healed” brain. It looks like she was without oxygen for too long. You can’t reverse that.

And as Cissy mentions in her statement, they can keep her “alive” like this for a long time, but we have to imagine watching her granddaughter live like this for the rest of her life would be heartbreaking for Cissy.
