Shannon Sharpe Returns To ‘Undisputed’ And Has Tense Exchange With Skip Bayless
Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless are no strangers to disagreements. They don’t often agree while co-hosting their ‘Undisputed‘ show, which often makes for entertaining television.
But on Wednesday, Jan 4, the tension between them hit a little different. You see, Sharpe was not on Tuesday’s episode of the show. He decided to sit it out after the horrific Damar Hamlin collapse on Monday Night Football. Many people felt like Skip shouldn’t have hosted the show on Tuesday either, especially after his tweet the night before.
For those who don’t know, Skip tweeted on Monday night, questioning how the NFL could postpone the game this late in the season.
He attempted to explain himself on Tuesday’s show, and that’s exactly why Sharpe didn’t come in. On Wednesday’s show, Sharpe explained he didn’t want the entire episode to be about Skip’s tweet.
“Skip tweeted something and although I disagree with the tweet — and hopefully, Skip will take it down,” Sharpe said, before Skip interrupted him.
“Time out — I’m not going to take it down because I stand by what I tweeted,” he responded, which seemed to really irritate Sharpe.
“I cannot even get through a monologue without you interrupting,” Sharpe replied with a disgusted look on his face. He then continued…
I didn’t want yesterday to get into a situation where Damar Hamlin was the issue. We should have been talking about him, and not get into your tweet. That’s what I was gonna do. But you can’t even let me finish my opening monologue without you interrupting.
They managed to move on from the disagreement, but it’s clear they are losing patience for one another.
