Serena Williams Shades Harrison Butker At 2024 ESPYs… And Yes, He Was There!

Remember Harrison Butker? The NFL kicker sparked outrage earlier this year when he gave a commencement speech at a Christian university.
In his speech, he urged women to become “homemakers” and said it would be their most important title in life.
I can tell you that my beautiful wife, Isabelle, would be the first to say her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.
He also included anti-LGBTQ+ comments in his speech, which only added to the anger. Oh, and he name dropped Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, quoting some lyrics from her. It was a weird move, considering he and Travis are teammates.
Anyway, the 2024 ESPYs went down last night (July 11) and Serena Williams hosted the big event. She was joined onstage by her sister, Venus, and ‘Abbot Elementary‘ star, Quinta Brunson.
During their monologue, Venus said, “Go ahead and enjoy women’s sports like you would any other sport,” but then Serena added, “Except you, Harrison Butker, we don’t need you.”
That’s when Brunson jumped in to add, “At all, like ever.”
Ouch! Sadly, this isn’t the Golden Globes, so the cameras didn’t capture Harrison’s reaction, but we have to imagine it stung him a little.
But hey, if he can talk sh*t, he better be able to eat sh*t as well.
