WWE Releases Alberto Del Rio, Del Rio Holds Press Conference And Explains The Real Reason He Decided to Leave and An Update on His Girlfriend Paige.

He says he actually initiated the release from his contract and was able to negotiate away the typical 90 day no compete clause. This will allow him to work in Mexico and the United States immediately.

My sarcasm aside, Del Rio is currently in talks with Mexican promotions AAA, CMLL and Elite. He’s looking to do a light 60 matches per year and then retire in two years. The good part about those leagues is they don’t have super strict Wellness Policies and they don’t have Triple H.
They also don’t have WWE paychecks either. Del Rio is worth $6 million dollars.
