The Truth Behind Regis leaving – Pay Cut!

After a week of taking it all in, feeling a little sorrow and hearing all the heartwarming stories, we learn that Regis actually Diva’d out. (Diva’d out – To act like a self-entitled bitch). When he found out that he was getting a pay cut, he was simply not having it.

As reported by TMZ, he was making between 18 and 20 million per year, when he found out that his new contract was not so chunky. We are in a recession, there is a lot of daytime competition and the show was just not performing as well as it has in the past. Also they noted that Regis take a lot of time off hence the lower offer.

I call him a Diva because it was totally unprofessional how he went about his retirement. He reportedly told Kelly Ripa 15 minutes before they went on air. WTF. She was furious. This is her money Regis was playing with too. As for Regis’ agent, Jim Griffin? Regis fired him because he felt like he wasn’t getting the job done. I agree. Let’s face it, the show is Regis.

My only question is – “what does he do now? “ He was getting 18 million before now hes getting $0. Not that he needs the money, but I’m just saying.
