Damon Dash – remember him? He’s the guy who was interviewed and stated that he doesn’t wear the same pair of socks twice. He owned over 1300 pairs of sneakers, rode around in a $400,000 Maybach, and was just arrogant as hell. Well welcome back down to planet earth Mr. Dash.
Dash owes millions in back taxes. Millions. Back in 2009 the headlines were, “Damon Dash owes $2M in NY Taxes”. Well fast forward to 2011.
Are the rumors true that Damon Dash Jr. can’t go to college because of his father?
Well Linda Williams, his baby’s mother spoke to Radar Online and is calling Dash out. She says that he’s failed to pay the court ordered Child support for his son who is now 19. Linda is suing Dash for the money owed from 2007.
I know what you’re thinking….you are thinking it’s a ton of money right? Nope!
It’s $450 per week! $1,800 per month.
This is absurd! Do the math. If Damon Dash earned 5% on his $50 million dollar fortune that would be $2.5 million per year. Just sitting on his a$$ he can earn $2.5 million per year, so why can’t he pay $450 per week?
She also accused him of stopping Damon Jr’s college plans.
“I just want Damon Dash to…pay his support and help me get [his son] in college,”Williams said. “My son got into Five Towns College in Dix Hills, N.Y, on a $30,000 scholarship recently to do music, but his father did not want him to go even though it would not have cost him anything… He keeps telling him, ‘Tell your mom to drop the child support case and get out of court’ when my son just wants to be a normal teenager and go to college.”
So what’s the problem?
The problem is, Dame Dash’s financial situation is a lot bigger than we thought. According to the State New Jersey’s Division of Taxation, Dash is the 2nd biggest debtor to the state of New York. He owes, $23,073,227.56 as of press time.. Daayyyummmmm!!
Dash might be spending some time with Wesley if he doesn’t get his act together. During a Billboard Magazine Interview he said that he has been so worried about everyone else, that he lost track of his own finances. Really?
Damon has a terrible history of everyone he touches, gets rich and leaves him. The list is still going: Jay-Z, Jim Jones, and even his ex-wife Rachel Roy. Damon all but made her the designer she is and when the tough got going, she divorced him.
I can’t say I blame her, with all his arrogance at $50 Million he was probably hard to deal with, but at Zero Million why bother?
