Rihanna’s Father Recovering from a Deadly Tropical Disease

You always wonder what a stars’ parents look like right?  Well now we know what Rihanna’s Dad looks like.

The 57 year old was struck with a deadly tropical illness.  Daddy Ri-ri goes by the name of Ronald Fenty.  The sickness that he had was called “dengue fever”.  It’s one of those tropical deals that can be spread by mosquitoes and ticks.

Ron-ron was struck with the illness just after Rihanna’s visit to Barbados.  Like many superstars, Rihanna and her father were not on talking terms but have since patched up their differences.

Daddy Issues?  Why of course.  A sure sign is getting abused by her ex-boyfriend, not to mention her father has a past crack addiction that he has reportedly kicked.

Ron didn’t want to bother his daughter but the doctor at the hospital where he was being treated, knew Rhianna and told him to call her.  He described the incident recently in a statement,

‘I called her and she was worried,’

‘She said: “Daddy, what’s wrong with you?” I told her I’d be fine. I’m better now, the doctors just told me to take it easy for a few days and rest.’

The father of six works six days a week making and selling clothes.

Rihanna’s visit to Barbados was as much about business as it was pleasure . She shot some of her documentary style video for her song “Cheers” while she was there.

Ron was treated and is in full recovery.

You might be wondering why a superstars father is working, making clothes 6 days per week.  Me too!  I’m sure it’s complicated….(yeah right!)  My father would be on the back nine, 6 beers deep with a Benz in the parking lot.  The only thing he would be working on 6 days per week, would be his short game.
