Man Caught Throwing a Hot Dog at Tiger Woods Speaks Out!
After sitting in silence and much speculation the guy who threw the “Gristle Missile” at Tiger on Sunday has spoken out….and he sounds just as dumb as the feat that gave him his 30 seconds of fame.
Sunday Brandon Kelly, a 31 year old grown a$$ man decided that he was going to make a name for himself by throwing a hot dog in the air while Tiger was making a putt at the Frys.com Open. In the quick video clip, you can hear Kelly yelling out “TIGER!!!” and you then see Brandon running on the green and a hot dog, complete with bun (probably minus the ketchup) fly up in the air and land on the green.
Brandon knew he was in trouble and basically just laid down while authorities got on top of him and removed him from the facility.
Brandon didn’t mean to harm Tiger, he’s actually a huge fan. The idea, he said, was formed after he watched a movie about a stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway driver.
“I threw the hot dog toward Tiger Woods because I was inspired by the movie ‘Drive,’” Kelly said. “As soon as the movie ended, I thought to myself, ‘I have to do something courageous and epic. I have to throw a hot dog on the green in front of Tiger.’”
Kelly declined to elaborate on his motivation and said he had initially hoped to remain anonymous.
WTF!?!?!
Then he said the magic words that we all Love…..
“I honestly wish Tiger the best. One day I hope he breaks Jack Nicklaus’ record,”
In reference that he could have been shot during the ordeal, Kelly says he wasn’t worried.
“Did I think I could be shot like some people were saying? Absolutely not.”
Kelly posted on his Facebook page Sunday morning a photo of a hot dog in his hand in front of his vehicle’s steering wheel and speedometer. It was taken at about 7:15 a.m. Sunday as he drove from his home in Sonoma County to the golf tournament at CordeValle Golf Club south of San Jose.
While at the Frys.com Open, he posted to Facebook:
“Just got a bloody Mary. About to watch Tiger Woods play 18 holes.”
According to authorities his offenses at most would result in a fine and community service.
