Spock is out of the Closet, Zachary Quinto Reveals…He’s Gay…Finally.

Zachary Quinto is Gay Big Whoop!  As if we didn’t know!  Look at his picture, of course he’s Gay.  In fact, whose not Gay these days.  I’m starting to feel left out.  It’s like Ricky Martin…. “Hello, we already knew!!”

If you are wondering who the heck he is…..He was Spock in the New Star Trek.  He was also Sylar in Heroes but not too many people know that especially because NBC cancelled it WITHOUT NOTICE!! …but I digress……

New York Magazine was the first to get the news during an interview with the 34 year old.

‘As a gay man, it made me feel like there’s still so much work to be done, and there’s still so many things that need to be looked at and addressed,

In reference to Gay bullying Zach says,

‘And again, as a gay man I look at that and say there’s a hopelessness that surrounds it, but as a human being I look at it and say Why? Where’s this disparity coming from, and why can’t we as a culture and society dig deeper to examine that? We’re terrified of facing ourselves,’

There were rumors of Zachary being Gay especially after appearing as a Gay man in Tori spelling’s show So NoTORIous and in the new show American Horror Story.

Despite his sexuality he will still be Spock in the sequel for Star Trek do out in 2012.  As I said “Big Whoop”.  I think Zachary Quinto’s coming out is more of a victory for the Gay community then news for us.  It shows that more people feel that it’s ok, and that it’s accepted.  Another high profile celebrity to promote Gay awareness and acceptability  so to that…I guess this is news.
