Jersey Shore Season 5 Sneak Preview – Ratings are Still High so Why Not!
Honestly, I really forgot that they filmed another Season of Jersey Shore. I fizzled out in Italy. I’m always “in” like the first 5 or 6 episodes and then I get sick of the Ronnie & Sam drama and phase out, then usually catch up on the marathon.
I wasn’t the only one who fizzled as the ratings for the Season 4 Finale were lower than that of Season 3 but there were some extenuating factors. Season 4 ended in October amongst some first class broadcast shows, which they crushed.
RATINGS ARE STILL GOOD
The season finale scored a 3.7 for adults 18-49, smashing the 10:00 PM competition. “Private Practice” had a 2.3 and “The mentalist” had a 2.5. To put it in even more in perspective, “Grey’s Anatomy” which came on earlier but on the same night scored a 3.6 rating.
For a cable show, that’s ridiculous. That’s why these guys continue to film seasons and get PAID.
HOW MUCH DID THE JERSEY SHORE CAST GET FOR SEASON 5
Rumors had it that they negotiated a slightly higher contract then Season 4 which was $100K per episode. They typically film 13 seasons so they will earn well over 1 million dollars each, for the Season. This doesn’t include endorsements, night club appearances and spin offs. That’s a Good “Situation”.
Here is a sneak peak of the trailer from season 5.
