Paul McCartney: At Age 69 Says He’s Had Enough Marijuana. He Quits!

Paul McCartney says he will Finally Give up Weed!

At age 69 Paul McCartney has finally decided to stop smoking that “Good Stuff”.  He attributes the decision to a new sense of responsibility he has acquired from raising his 8 year old daughter.

My thoughts àI wonder if something happened while Sir Paul was gettin blunted???

I guess we are to ignore the fact that he has 4 other adult children.

In a recent interview, basically he said that he’s had enough,

‘I did a lot, and it was enough.

‘I smoked my share. When you’re bringing up a youngster, your sense of responsibility does kick in, if you’re lucky, at some point.

‘Enough’s enough – you just don’t seem to think it’s necessary.’

As history would have it, McCartney was a heavy drug user.  Bob Dylan should be given most of the credit for the success of the Beatles.  He was the person to turn McCartney on to marijuana and then later the hard stuff: heroin, cocaine, LSD and the list goes on.  It was said that this is how the Beatles came out with their best material.

GETTING BLUNTED ON THE DAILY? HOW ABOUT THE HOURLY!

His second wife Heather Mills tried to give McCartney an ultimatum…that’s why he’s on his third wife. In divorce records she said that Paul McCartney would use cannabis as regularly as others drink cups of tea!

Drug Arrest Record:

His most notable drug bust came in Japan where he was actually imprisoned.

Prior to the Japan incident he paid a $2000 fine for smuggling hashish into Sweden in 1972, was fined for pot possession in Scotland that same year and was fined $240 for growing pot on his Scottish highlands farm in 1973. His wife Linda was arrested in Los Angeles for pot possession in 1975, but the charges were dropped.

He was almost denied entry into Japan because of his past arrest record but after pressures from the music industry, Japan decided to let McCartney in, but they kept him under careful watch.   Apparently they didn’t have to watch too hard.  At Tokyo international airport they found 7.7 ounces in Sir Paul’s suitcase.  McCartney didn’t even try to hide it.  He was arrested and spent a week in jail, with fans holding a Vigil for his release.

With all that trouble, he still continued to smoke until he got busted again in Barbados.

At Age 69, he’s deciding to stop – I think at age 69 is when I will start.

McCartney’s latest album, ‘Kisses on the Bottom,’ is in stores now.
