Cuba Gooding will Star in a New Fox Legal Drama Pilot – Can He Handle the Small Screen?

[sam id=”16″ codes=”true”]The Cube will take a crack at the small screen.  He has secured a role in a legal drama pilot to be aired on Fox.

He didn’t just land the show, he has the starring role.  The show, cleverly called “Guilty” will revolve around Gooding’s character, a defense attorney by the name William “Billy” Remz.  Remz loses his license to practice law after a fraud conviction and as a result is forced to use unorthodox techniques to solve cases that he can’t legally handle.  All this goes on, while he works on getting revenge on those who set him up on the fraud charge.

Right now, it’s only a pilot but it has the makings of something that definitely has a huge chance of getting picked up.  Eva Amurri Martino (Californication actress and daughter of Susan Sarandon) will play the female lead Lily, a licensed attorney that Remz works closely with.  The show is a Greg Berlanti production, the man behind ABC’s successful “Brother’s and Sisters”.

Cuba, don’t go buying that G-20 yet.  As we know television is not a guaranteed pay day.  Just ask the actors from: Charlie’s Angels, The Playboy Club, Prime Suspect, Free Agent (Only 4 episodes), or the worse of the worse, “Work It” – only lasted 2 episodes.

May I recommend, short term leasing.
