Mariah Carey and Nick Look Great As the Diva Performs at the Escape to Rewards Event in New York. [video]

The 41 year old Mariah Carey and her 31 year old boy toy Nick Cannon were both looking fantastic at Gotham Hall in New York last night.  It’s been a rough pregnancy for Mariah and a rough 2012 for Nick already, but both appear to be recovering well and Mariah sounded almost like her old self.

The Escape to Rewards Event was held in Gotham Hall hosted by Mel B.  and performances by Mariah and Puff Daddy.

Mariah made an appearance on Good Morning America telling Robin Roberts that Nick is doing well and that quitting his radio show was probably for the best.

‘Nick is doing well, It’s a very complicated thing and I know he spoke on it himself.’

‘I feel a little bit awkward because I don’t know exactly what he was revealing when he talked to people, but the best thing, I think, the choice he made to leave his radio show and concentrate on America’s Got Talent and Up All Night.

‘It was just something that hit us really hard at the top of the year and we wound up in the hospital.

‘We ended up in a couple of hospitals this year already. Now, he is doing better and the thing is, he’s a strong, healthy person and it’s about changing the lifestyle.’

During the same interview questions regarding Whitney Houston’s death almost brought her to tears,

‘I’m almost incapable of talking about it still, There was always this supposed rivalry in the beginning and then we did this duet (at the 1999 Oscars) and we became friends.’

It’s good to see Mariah back, doing her thing.  Now we just can’t wait for the next album to drop.
