Men in Black 3 Trailer Released! [video]

I had to ask myself, why are they making another “Men In Black” movie?  Then I asked myself, why is Will Smith doing another “Men In Black” movie after establishing himself as a credible actor?

The answer was simple: MONEY!  Lot of it! Shall I break it down?

• Men in Black 1: Gross: $587,200,000
• Men in Black 2: Gross: $251,400,000

WILL SMITH MONEY!

Will only received $5,000,000 for the first movie.  In between the 1^st and 2^nd, Will did “Enemy of the State” and “Ali”; two movies that moved his Hollywood Mojo Meter way up.

For “Men In Black II” , he received $20 million plus 10% of the gross for a total of $45.1 Million.  With expectations that a 3^rd installment will not exceed the gross of either the first or the 2nd, they have dropped Will’s percentage deal, but he will still get a cool $20 Million.

I think the movie will do surprisingly well as audiences haven’t seen Smith since his last $20 Million payday in 2008 for “Hancock”.  I guess if you make $20 Million a movie you can afford to take a little time off.
