Hugh Hefner’s son Gets a Slap on the Wrist. Three Year Probation for Domestic Violence
Talk about the right to a speedy trial. Didn’t he just get arrested?
Just a little over a month ago, on Feb. 12, Marston Hefner was arrested for domestic violence against one Clair Sinclair. When the police arrived they were told that he kicked her and punched her in the stomach. They could also see physical bruises on Clair, and promptly took Marston into custody.
Marston was charged with one count of battery on a spouse or cohabitant and one count of vandalizing a lap top.
GUILTY YOUR HONOR!
Marston has elected to plea bargain by submitting a guilty plea. He has been sentenced to 3 years of probation and ordered to complete a 52 week domestic violence course.
This is like a get out of jail free card. At the end of the three years, if Marston does not violate his probation he can withdraw his plea, like an expungement.
Assistant Pasadena City Prosecutor Chris Blankenhorn says the vandalism charge will go away as well,
“The (vandalism) charge was dismissed with a waiver he’ll pay restitution for replacing that,
It must be nice being rich. If he would have gone to trial and lost, he could have been sentenced to more than a year in jail. With pictures of the bruises sent to TMZ by Clair herself, I think he made the right decision with the guilty plea, because he would have certainly been convicted.
The couple are no longer living together therefore this should be the end of that, however only time will tell.
