Justin Bieber Releases First New Music In Two Years – “Boyfriend” Released on iTunes at Midnite [audio]

I still can’t believe that Boyfriend is the first new music that Justin Bieber has put out since his My World 2.0 debut which was released back in March of 2010.  In fact, it’s his only full length studio album to date.  (Of course I’m blowing off that Christmas album, they don’t count towards being original releases).

That’s why “Boyfriend” has been such a big deal.  There was the release of the single cover on twitter, then the release of the full lyrics on Wednesday, and then the snippet unveiling on “Ellen”.  Finally about 3 hours ago, we get the full song.

Heavy weight producer Mike Posner was brought in for “Boyfriend” and the single is sort of a coming of age song and since every one of his female fans want him as their boyfriend the song is fitting.  Here are the lyrics,

“If I was your boyfriend, never let you go/Keep you on my arm girl, you’d never be alone,”

I can just hear this song getting song over and over in every household across the world.  The countdown started just before midnight on his twitter account and then a link to iTunes.

Lil Wayne, Drake, and Timbaland are all on deck for his new album “Believe”  The release date is unknown, but it will be after the summer.
