Piermario Morosini dramatically collapsed and died in the middle of a soccer match. The initial report is that the 25 year old midfielder who played for about 30 minutes before collapsing after suffering from three quick cardiac arrests back to back.
A portable defibrillator was used to try and jump start his heart but to no avail. He was pronounced dead on arrival once he reached the hospital. A cardiologist at the hospital confirmed his death after failed attempts of revival,
“unfortunately he was already dead when he arrived at hospital. He didn’t regain consciousness.”
ON THE WAY TO THE HOSPITAL…
Morosini’s trip to the ER was delayed when a traffic cop car was found to be blocking the ambulance. There was no time to find the owner to move the vehicle so the windows had to be smashed for the car to be move out of the way.
Fabrice Muamba had a similar incident last month were he was clinically dead for 78 minutes before he was able to be revived and is now on full recover.
If the car was not there, maybe Morosini could have survived like Muamba.
