Nickelodeon Releases Trailer and Announces Start Date for New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Series!
In what I think is a super-smart move, Nickelodeon is bringing back the Ninja Turtles cartoon version. The movie which was originally set to be released in December 2013 will now be pushed to May 2014, so this will help keep the Ninja Turtle craze alive and well until then.
In an interview with EW, the executive producer Ciro Neili explains how this iteration of the cartoon fits with the others,
“I tried to boil it down and get to really what’s at the core of it, which is this sense of brothers and camaraderie. Everything grew out of that. It’s like a band. You want a Beatles thing.”
The new show will air on Saturday, Sept. 29th at 11 a.m. They have been given 26 episodes in which to revive the franchise. The cast will be as follows:
- Leonardo:Jason Biggs
- Raphael: Sean Anstin
- Michelangelo: Greg Cipes
- Donatello: Rob Paulson
Mae Whitman will play April O’Neil and Hoon Lee is Splinter and Kevin Michael Richardson will be Shredder.
Nickelodeon claims that the series will be Funnier and will also have more Ninjutsu then ever! Cowabunga Dudes!!
