Donald Faison Has Signed On To “Kick-Ass 2” As Dr. Gravity!
Kick Ass 2 continues to move in the right direction. Mark Millar seems to be pulling the pieces together and this sequel is indeed going to happen. Kick Ass 2 will be directed by Jeff Wadlow (Never Back Down ) who is taking over for Matthew Vaughn who did the first movie. A lot of the original cast has signed on. Aaron Jonshon, Choloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Nicolas Cage have all been confirmed and the movie’s potential title will be, Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall.
It was announced today that funny man Donald Faison will be brought in to play Dr. Gravity, a member of the “Justice Forever” superhero team. Dr. Gravity is first introduced patrolling with Kick-Ass. He tells him that he’s a physics professor at Columbia by day and that the stick he has is actually a gravity pole. He tells Kick-Ass that the pole makes people 20 times their weight rendering them incapacitated. He later reveals the truth, that the gravity pole is a baseball bat wrapped in aluminum foil.
This will be Faison’s first big screen role since 2010’s Skyline. John Leguizamo has also joined the production, playing Red Mist‘s bodyguard, Javier,
Filming is set to start shooting in September with locations in Toronto and London.
