Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez Will Host “The X-Factor”. Deal Rumored to Be Done!
Simon Cowell’s decisions for his show seem to get stranger as the weeks go by. With the live shows of the “The X-factor” just weeks away, and the firing of last season’s host Steve Jones, the pressure for a new host is indeed on. Cowell answers that pressure with a double Whammy: Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian.
Mario Lopez isn’t great, but not bad either. The guy does a great job on Extra, he did really well as host of Randy Jackson’s “America’s Best Dance Crew” and let’s face it, he’s eye candy for the ladies.
Khloe Kardashian on the other hand is a wild card. Cowell hinted that a Khloe was in the running, during his appearance on Ellen. I just dismissed it as small talk but as I’m learning there is no small talk when it comes to Simon. Cowell told Ellen,
“We have screen-tested a load of people. … It could be a Kardashian. I think that would work. I’m quite a fan of not putting [experienced] hosts on this show. Because I think it’s going to give it a different dynamic. So we have to find people who have a great chemistry, but Khloé is definitely up there in [the] running.”
THE DEAL IS RUMORED TO BE DONE
Rumors have it that it’s a done dollar. That both Lopez and Khloe are signed with no leaks as to salary yet. Khloe hinted to a long day of negotiations and a long week of work ahead of her on twitter,
“Been up for hours and its only 830am. Long day ahead of me. Weerrrrkkk.”
Back in August she also told E! that the hosting gig would be something that she would love to do,
“I’ve always wanted to do hosting or talk-show hosting, so it’s definitely something that I would love to do and would be honored to do, To be on such a huge show like that with those judges, I would have so much fun doing that.”
It appears that her wish is now a reality. I’m sure her deal making mama had a lot to do with closing this one. Kudos to Kris Jenner and the Kardashian crew for parlaying their talent-lessness into more money and more exposure. Let’s face it, that in itself is a talent.
As Funkmaster Flex Always says, Don’t hate her, hate yourself for being an underachiever.
There has been no official confirmation by Cowell or the show’s producers on the deal to date.
