New Cast Member Kenya Moore Brings the Drama on the New Season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta
After a full weekend marathon of The Real Housewives of Atlanta leading up to Sunday’s premiere, fans were not disappointed. This was the first time audiences were introduced to the newest cast member Kenya Moore, brought on to replace Sheree Whitfield. Let’s just say that Moore did not disappoint.
Things heated up right away as Cynthia asked Moore to help judge a Jet, beauty of the week contest at her agency. Moore jumped right into the role of judge pulling a Simon Cowell, insulting and belittling the contestants one after the other. Her behavior became too much for Cynthia to deal with and Moore was confronted by one of Cynthia’s assistants who Moore, had removed by her own personal security.
In a recent interview Moore was candid about her behavior and how she would be portrayed on the show. She was not the least bit concerned,
“Do I, as we say, “go in” on a few of the girls because I think they have a bad attitude or needed an adjustment? Yes, But at the end of the day I am always looking to my professional life and my personal life to empower other people.”
“The producers can only get what you give them. They can’t make up something they didn’t shoot. It’s probably a little concerning one way or the other but that’s all in the risk you take when you join a reality show…Whatever they show of me is consistent with who I am as a person. I’m passionate, I’m feisty, I’m outspoken and I really do care about other people. I just am who I am and I’m hoping people will love that”
We also get a peek into Kandi’s much criticized and talked about relationship with Todd Tucker. He works for the company that produces the show and met Kandi while he was living with another woman. The other woman learned about “Todd’s” relationship with Kandi via the press as he broke up with her to be with Kandi. In a recent interview Kandi said that she thought she would have to make the choice between the show or Todd,
It’s kind of weird, because at first we kind of thought maybe this was going to be one of those things where maybe I’d have to choose either being on the show or my relationship with him. And we chose love.”
I believe it. Burruss’s money has money, her personal net worth approximated at $35 million.
Speaking of getting paper, this season will also look a Phaedra’s expanding hustles as she takes her mortuary business to the next level and offers a pet service.
Bottom line, this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta does not skip a beat. Sheree’s absence is barely noticed and the drama is at an all-time high. There is little doubt that Atlanta will continue to be the highest watched of all the Housewives.
Just think….we didn’t even mention Nene!
Here is a sneak peak at the rest of the upcoming season.
