Nas and His Dad Pose for Gap – Watch the Commercial.

It’s definitely a new day for hip hop and it’s about getting that paper .  Or maybe it’s about maturing?

Nas is doing both as he appears in this Gap ad with his father who also happens to be a musician.  Olu Dara and his son Nas are the first celebrities to kick off a Gap campaign called, “Love Comes in Every Shade”.   Their chapter in the campaign is called “Fatherly Love”.

This isn’t the first time that Nas and his father have teamed up to get paper.  Nas has collaborated with his Jazz musician father on several tracks including “Life’s a Bitch” from the classic illmatic album.  The new, mature Nas is actually a throwback to the introspective Nas from that era.  A Nas which we heard on his latest effort “Life is Good”.

After posting a picture of the print ad on instagram, NAS used the hashtag #lifeisgood.

Michael J. Fox and the Cast of Nene Leake’s new show “The New Normal” will also have ads in the campaign.
